Introduction to The Enterprise
PROCESS MANAGEMENT
The Production & Manufacturing module is used to track Production Orders, Shop Floor Work Orders, Completion and QC Orders and products that come out of the production process. Production flows can be broken down into pre-defined tasks or driven via work orders for each phase of the manufacturing lifecycle.
Users have the option to create Production Orders directly from Sales Order line items as one of the many sales fulfillment options.
The Inventory Management module keeps track of all Raw Materials, Kit/Sub-Assembly and Product inventories. With options to define unlimited storage locations with up to four levels of detail, centralized and de-centralized inventory warehouse schemes are easily supported.
Every item in inventory can be enhanced with multiple vendors, multiple retail price tiers and an unlimited number of varieties, each with its own set of characteristics, price lists and BOM.
The Logistics module integrates with the Sales, Production, Purchasing and Inventory modules to keep track of all order fulfillment, pick ticket, packing slip, shipping notice and package tracking requirements.
Inbound and Outbound shipping boards keep everyone informed as to the status of every package while the Logistics dashboard informs users as to the most critical events of the day and week.
Time cards are used to measure the use of a resource. Whether that resource is a human resource or a piece of equipment or machinery, this module details all resource allocations according to time and date. While human resource time clocks are measured in units of time, production resource asset usage can be measured in any number of user-defined units.
The Quality Control module is used to ensure that specifications are met and requirements are satisfied throughout all processes. Whether it's quality testing finished goods coming out of the manufacturing process, testing machine accuracy on the shop floor or tracking turn-around time on customer sales orders, the QA features provide valuable performance information regarding every phase of business operations.
THE LIBRARY
The Library is an integrated set of modules for Document, Media and Notebook Entry management. Each user has their own library and libraries can be shared according to defined security protocols. Every Library entry is automatically tagged and tags can be added by users at runtime. This sophisticated tagging system works in conjunction with The Library search engine to make search and retrieval a breeze.
Multiple entries in a library can be combined into packets to make the sharing and distribution of library materials easier for all users.
Finally, all library entries are stored in electronic file cabinets, drawers and folders that users can set up according to their own personal workflow and operational requirements.
The Document Management System is designed to support any document attachment to any record in The Enterprise. Whether documents are received via email, produced by the system or added one-at-a-time or in batch via drag-and-drop, the automatic tagging system ensures that each document is easy to find.
Version control, retention-policy enforcement and a dedicated security system protect each and every document on a user-by-user basis.
The global tagging algorithm enables dynamic relationships between a single document and multiple master data records across all the modules in the application.
The Photo Album allows users to store an unlimited number of photos and media attachments. Attachments can be automatically and manually tagged using the global tagging system. Master data records across all modules can be configured with a default image from the photo album to deliver a more intuitive user experience.
The Notebook is where users can record notes about any item, transaction, customer, vendor, or event anywhere in The Enterprise. Notes can be attached to documents and photos in The Library and can be secured on a user-by-user basis.
GENERAL ACCCOUNTING
Any event registered in The Enterprise is automatically accounted for in the appropriate transaction journal. Account distributions can be defined ahead of time so that the books always balance and every transaction is recognized correctly in the Trial Balance.
With dedicated General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Order Entry, Purchasing, Inventory, Machinery and Payroll modules and unlimited configuration options in the Chart of Accounts, users can configure financial statements and accounting reports that deliver accurate, timely and relevant information in real time.
Every transaction is accounted for in The Enterprise. With particular attention paid to the audit trail, all supporting documentation, source data and metadata is maintained so that all financial and operational events can be reconstructed during any audit or review.
Tight controls over the audit trail ensure that financial statements and accounting reports can be relied on for accuracy and completeness.
The entire suite of accounting modules is protected with a dedicated security system. Each user can be configured with unique access rights and privileges and transaction limits can be set at the transaction and date level separately from approval and maximum spend limits.
Separation of duties according to GAAP and best practices are engaged at all levels in order to protect from fraud and abuse within the system.
