MATERIALS, KITS & PRODUCTS
Raw Materials come into Inventory via Purchase Orders and can be pulled from inventory via pick tickets or work order allocations. Every raw material can support multiple suppliers, each with their own SKU and default price and multiple variations, each with its own set of unique characteristics.
Multi-location inventory, hazardous material requirements, and detailed storage and shipping measurements combine with the Purchasing and Logistics module to streamline the entire raw material inventory management lifecycle.
Kits and sub-assemblies can be built out of raw materials and even other kits and can be defined as products if you choose to make them available for wholesale or retail sale. Inventory transaction processing supports kit assembly and dis-assembly along with multi-location storage, job, project and production work order allocation options.
Detailed component management and reporting ensure that stock and availability levels can always be reported in summary or according to component availability details.
Each and every product can support multiple price tiers, variations, Bills of Material and cost methodologies. Detailed Cost of Goods Sold reporting delivers accurate and detailed margin analysis and multi-location inventory combines with the CRM, Order Entry, Purchasing and Logistics modules so that stock checks and price checks are easy, quick and accurate every time.
Every raw material, kit and product has its own minimum stock level, re-order point, demand quantity and minimum order requirement to ensure that stock levels are never too high or too low. Location-based transaction management, stock moves, adjustments and production results and requirements inform the inventory manager in real time so that inventory levels can be maintained at the proper level without wasting storage space or restricting cash flow.
With multiple price tier options, each product can be priced at point of sale according to customer defaults. When sales commissions are calculated, each sales person can earn commission according to a pre-defined commission schedule that is directly integrated with the user-defined price tiers.
Customer price tiers can also be defined dynamically based on buying levels and historical spend on a customer-by-customer, tier-by-tier basis, product-by-product basis.
Bills of Material can be defined for each sub-assembly and product and each item can support multiple BOM's based on production requirements and other user-defined characteristics. When defining items for allocation or sale, users can select the appropriate BOM with the option to edit actual usage quantities at the point of production or quality control.
Warehousing schematics can be defined by up to five levels with each level being user-definable. Within each level (warehouse, section, area, shelf, bin, position, etc.) users can sub-divide down to the next level to ensure pin-point accuracy ensuring that restocking and picking processes are conducted with maximum efficiency.
Point and click inventory location selection and support for most mobile technology platforms means it's easy for users in the field to find the parts they need to get their job done.
Every raw material, kit/sub-assembly and product can be further detailed using the item variation option. Variations are used with there are two unique items differentiated by only minor characteristics such as size or color.
Every variation of an item can have its own set of price tiers and stock quantity measures and can be detailed with a unique SKU suffix making it easy to drill down from the parent item to the specific variation required in every situation.
When a kit, sub-assembly or product needs to be uniquely identified, serial numbers can be used. Every serialized item can be tracked according to the date it entered and exited inventory in addition to its current location and owner.
When serialized items carry warranty coverages, warranty terms, conditions and expiration dates can be accessed with a single mouse-click in the Purchase Order, Order Entry, Production and Inventory management modules.
Every inventory item can have its own list of suppliers and vendors with one being defined as the default for that time. Every supplier on the list can have their own unique SKU and cost on an item-by-item basis.
Purchase Orders will automatically alert the user when there is a multi-vendor option while batch PO's will automatically be cut to the default vendor at their current item cost. Minimum purchase levels can also be defined for every supplier on an item-by-item basis.
INVENTORY TRANSACTIONS
Inventory items can easily be moved from location to location. Internal relocations are easy to track and drive real-time stock tracking down to the specific shelf or bin. Items can be automatically moved based on shipping, production or sales fulfillment requirements.
Stock adjustments are important when running physical inventory or reconciling inventory stock levels.
Item stock can be put on hold or in reserve for specific sales orders, projects or production runs. Reserved inventory is recognized as "in-stock" but held back from available inventory. Reserves can be lifted via actual usage or with the entry of a hold release transaction.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
The Inventory Management module directly integrates with Production and Manufacturing to ensure that production schedules and shop floor work orders can be satisfied on a timely basis. And when the production cycle is complete, finished products can be stocked and managed by item, lot, pallet or batch.
100% user-definable warehousing locations mean that everything from the simplest to the most complex storage facilities can be accurately managed by The Enterprise. Special user interfaces with interactive floor plans and schematics enable personnel in the field to use mobile technologies to accurately track, stock and pick inventory as efficiently as possibe.
Every raw material purchase, kit assembly and product sale is automatically accounted for by The Enterprise. No accounting experience is necessary to ensure that the financial results of all operations are accurately reported.
RMA's and stock adjustments are fast and easy for managers, field service and warehouse personnel alike.
